Whippedy dip skip!! We're in this months Yorkshire Life (March)Hooray!!

Saturday 21 January 2012

Uh Oh....a whole year has passed!!!

So, my posts may not be regular...but at least I have a lot to tell you...
We've been hunting out new suppliers...firstly Yorkshire Garlic, not 'just what it says on the tin', the family Palmer produce fabulous natural, seasonal produce on their farm near Ripon. Recently we've been making the most of their super tasty Crown Prince squash and golden & ruby red beetroot....veggie heaven!
Next Teare Wood's ice cream... Made from their own Jersey heard just outside Whitby, this ice cream is to die for!!At the moment we have raspberry and fresh mint and vanilla, but we'll be adding more flavours to the list as the weather warms up!Lisa and the family have a wonderful icecream parlour on the harbour side in Whitby...you can even take your pooch..
We've extended our range of Artisan du Chocolat products due to popular demand...we love the passionfruit salted caramels in their beautiful 'Chanel' style box...we've been making the worlds greatest affogato with their salted caramel sauce...my favourite indulgence...
Lauden chocolates from Leeds have also been gracing our shelves recently too; Emma, our chef, bought me a box as a pressie...I loved them so much we had them in stock two days later!
Cheese of the moment has to be Tunworth, a Camembert style cheese made by Stacey Hedges in Hampshire, soft and pliable with a truffley undertones...beautiful as it is...stupendous baked...
TeaHee is going on tour!! We've bought a Citroen H van from France. We've named him Jean Claude, but he also answers to Hercule. Jean Claude is having a little facelift at the mo, but Coopers have another shiny new coffee machine waiting in the wings for us. Over the summer we plan to be hitting a few festies with coffee and cakery. JC will also be available as a champagne bar for weddings...more details to follow..
We love Chinese whispers..and the tom tom drums have certainly been beating...we're delighted that those lovely folks at Jordans cereals have been busy bloggging about our cappuccinos http://www.jordanscereals.co.uk/our-blog/three-of-the-best-cappuccinos-in-the-countryside/ .We've also recently featured in a Japanese magazine called RSVP! Last week I also had a lovely chinwag with Russell Walker on Radio York about TeaHee,cheese, growing up in Nunnington, my slight(!)obsession with Priscilla and my phobia of buttons..what a way to spend an afternoon!
